Additional information

The Discover Australia series ran from 2006 through the early 2010s, with Perth issuing annual fractional gold pieces tied to native fauna. The $15 denomination corresponds to a one-tenth troy ounce equivalent — Perth's way of offering entry-level bullion in a collectible wrapper without committing to the standard fractional sizes used elsewhere.

KM#1724 is the 2012 iteration. Four different Ian Rank-Broadley portrait years appear across this series, and the transition to a fifth portrait in 2019 effectively closed the collector run.
