| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a large Wedge-tailed Eagle (Aquila audax) perched assertively on rocky ground in the lower foreground, its wings partially spread and its distinctive wedge-shaped tail visible, rendered in finely detailed high relief. A second eagle is shown in full flight in the upper right field, with wings outstretched, conveying a sense of soaring freedom. The curved legend AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 2018, the weight and fineness inscription 1/10oz 9999 GOLD, and the Perth Mint's P mintmark appear in the lower field. The design is attributed to designer JM and is struck with a brilliant uncirculated finish. |
