Fulleda is a village in the comarca of Les Garrigues, Tarragona, with a population that likely numbered in the hundreds during the Civil War years. Like hundreds of other Catalan municipalities, the Ajuntament issued fractional emergency currency — moneda de necessitat — to address the near-total disappearance of small coinage from circulation after 1936. The 15 céntimos denomination is among the more unusual fractional values, reflecting local commercial need rather than any standardized scheme.
Turró's catalog documents the Fulleda issues as among the rarer village emissions from Les Garrigues. Small print runs and limited original circulation area mean survivors are genuinely scarce.
