Obverse description Wreathed head of Tanit facing left, depicted in the Punic artistic tradition with stylized features. The goddess is shown with a wreath of grain in her hair, a characteristic iconographic element linking her to fertility and abundance. The flan is irregular, as typical of early Carthaginian bronze coinage, with the design somewhat off-center. The surface carries a dark olive-brown patina with areas of green encrustation consistent with prolonged burial.
