Issued to mark the fifteenth anniversary of Norodom Sihamoni's coronation in October 2004, this commemorative was printed by Orell Füssli in Zurich on Durasafe®, a hybrid substrate combining a polymer core with paper outer layers — a relatively recent security innovation that Cambodia adopted here well ahead of many regional issuers. The transparent window is integral to the substrate rather than applied as a separate element, which is specific to how Durasafe® is manufactured.
Pick 72 is a commemorative release, not a general circulation note, and surviving examples typically show little wear for that reason.
