15 000 Kip Year of the Pig

Laos began issuing lunar new year commemoratives in the early 2000s primarily for export to collector markets in Southeast Asia and Europe, with virtually no domestic circulation — the 15,000 kip face value bears no meaningful relationship to the coin's actual cost of production or retail price. The Pig is the twelfth and final animal in the twelve-year cycle, making 2007 issues natural set-completion targets for collectors who began acquiring the series at the Rat or earlier.
