Descrizione del dritto	The national emblem of the Lao People's Democratic Republic occupies the central field, depicting the That Luang stupa set against a stylised globe, flanked by two bound sheaves of rice and a gear wheel at the base. A ribbon bearing an inscription in Lao script is draped across the lower portion of the emblem. The legend THE LAO PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC runs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the date 2000 appears in a highlighted banner at the bottom of the field.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse features a full-colour applied image of a Red Dragon Fish (Scleropages formosus), depicted in vivid orange and red tones with detailed scaling, swimming diagonally across the field amid stylised aquatic vegetation rendered in silver relief. To the upper left, a circular cartouche bears the Chinese character 禄 (prosperity), while the Chinese characters 紅龍魚 appear vertically along the right field. The inscription 925 FINE SILVER is incused along the left inner border. The denomination 15,000 Kip and the legend RED DRAGON FISH are inscribed along the lower periphery in Latin script.
