Obverse description Facing lion head rendered in archaic style, with prominent forehead, wide-set eyes, and open jaws. The design fills the flan in high relief, with the mane indicated by rough striations radiating around the face. The surface shows characteristic electrum coloration with an irregularly shaped flan typical of early Carian coinage.
