| Obverse description | Facing head of a griffin rendered in archaic relief, depicted in left profile, occupying the majority of the flan. The creature's characteristic beak, ear, and crest are discernible despite the diminutive size of the flan and the rough, irregular surface typical of early electrum coinage. The design is boldly struck in the archaic Ionian style, with no inscription or border in the field. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square punch, divided into four roughly equal rectangular recesses by two intersecting raised ridges meeting at the centre, characteristic of early Lydian and Ionian electrum coinage technique. The incuse is irregularly shaped and somewhat off-centre, consistent with the hand-struck production methods of the late 7th century BC. The field within each quarter is plain, with no additional devices or inscriptions. |
