追加情報	The Cantii occupied the southeastern corner of Britain — roughly modern Kent — and were among the tribes Julius Caesar encountered directly during his expeditions of 55 and 54 BC. This fractional issue belongs to the generation after that contact, when Cantian goldsmithing had absorbed continental Gaulish influences while retaining distinctly insular abstraction. Quarter staters of this type circulated as high-value fractions in a society where coinage was still largely embedded in elite gift exchange and mercenary payment rather than everyday commerce. ABC 207 is a scarce variety. Die-linked specimens are known from a handful of metal-detector finds across Kent, nearly all recorded through the Portable Antiquities Scheme.
