Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right in high relief, rendered in the archaic Greek style characteristic of Persian-period coinage. The helmet is a Corinthian type adorned with a crest, with wavy hair visible beneath and flowing down the neck. The facial features are finely detailed with a pronounced eye, straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The portrait occupies the full field of the flan, which is irregular and slightly off-center as typical of hand-struck issues of this period.
