Obverse description Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a series of punch-marked symbols arranged across the field, including circular dot motifs, taurine or crescentic devices, and flowing S-shaped or scroll-like symbols characteristic of early Indian punchmarked coinage. The design elements are deeply impressed into the surface, displaying the typical bold, somewhat abstract punch-mark style associated with ancient Janapada-period issues from the Kosala region. Multiple punches are distributed across the obverse in a non-uniform arrangement consistent with the artistic conventions of the period circa 600–400 BC.
