Obverse description Celticized bare head of Apollo facing right, rendered in a highly stylized La Tène artistic tradition. Radiating from the head are multiple strands of pellets or pearl strings, each terminating in a small schematic human head, a characteristic decorative motif of this coinage class. The facial features are abstracted, with prominent eye and bold relief typical of Gaulish die-cutting of the second century BC.
