Obverse description Forepart of Pegasus, the winged horse, facing right, depicted in high relief with clearly rendered wing feathers and bridle detail. The motif is centrally placed within the coin's field, surrounded by a border of large pellets. The style is characteristic of Hellenistic Asia Minor civic bronze coinage, with bold, if somewhat schematic, engraving.

Reverse description Artemis Kindyas, the principal deity of Bargylia, standing in three-quarter view to right, holding a bow, with a stag or dog at her side. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition of draped divine effigies. The ethnic inscription ΒΑΡΓΥΛHNTΩΝ is divided in two lines flanking the figure in the field, left and right, identifying the issuing civic authority.
