Obverse description Bare male head facing left, rendered in archaic Sicilian style with finely detailed facial features. The portrait, likely representing a local deity or hero associated with the volcanic mountain Aitna, occupies the central field. The hair is swept back from the forehead in loose strands. The flan shows characteristic irregularity typical of Sicilian bronze coinage of the early fourth century BC. The surface carries an attractive dark green patina consistent with long burial.

Reverse description A bull charging or galloping to the right, rendered in a vigorous, naturalistic style characteristic of Sicilian bronze coinage of the early fourth century BC. The animal is depicted with musculature strongly modelled, its legs extended in full stride and its tail raised. The figure occupies the central field of an irregularly shaped flan. The plain, unadorned field surrounding the bull is free of inscription, consistent with the aniconic reverse tradition of Aitnaian bronzes catalogued in SNG ANS and SNG Copenhagen.
