| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped bust of a female deity, most likely Venus or a local goddess, facing right, with elaborately braided or plaited hair falling in long tresses behind the neck. A wreath or diadem adorns the top of the head. To the right of the bust, a partial legend reading CABE is visible in the field, identifying the issuing city of Cabellio (modern Cavaillon, southern Gaul). The style reflects the provincial Gallo-Roman die-cutting tradition of the late Republican period. |

Cabellio — modern Cavaillon, in the Rhône valley — was a Gaulish oppidum of the Cavares tribe that received Latin rights under Roman administration. Bronze issues of this size and weight from Cabellio are among the smallest and most poorly documented of the Gallo-Roman civic bronzes, and the attribution of specific types to narrow date ranges within this period remains contested in the literature.
