| Obverse description | The coat of arms of Ekaterinburg occupies the central field, depicted in colour with a green enamel shield bearing a blast furnace and a metal works, flanked by two supporters in the form of a bear and a marten. The shield is surmounted by a mural crown with battlements. The circular legend ДЕМИДОВСКАЯ МОНЕТА НА СЧАСТЬЕ (Demidov Lucky Coin) runs along the upper periphery, while the city name ЕКАТЕРИНБУРГ arcs along the lower rim. Below the shield appear the foundry initials ЕМД ИПВ and the founding year 1723. |
