| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with elaborate decoration; the facial features rendered in archaic Greek provincial style with visible cheek guards. The flan is irregular and slightly square in outline, consistent with hammered bronze coinage of Cretan city-states. The surfaces display a characteristic deep green patina. The relief is moderately high, with the helmet crest and bowl prominently detailed. |
