Obverse description Convex, roughly oval flan exhibiting the characteristic striated surface texture of early Ionian electrum coinage. The obverse presents an indistinct, granular design field with faint linear striations radiating across the surface, consistent with the primitive punch-and-die technique employed in the earliest Greek coinage. No figural type is clearly discernible, the surface bearing only the natural flow lines and surface irregularities inherent to the small, hand-cut electrum flan. The overall appearance is typical of the most archaic series of Lydian-influenced Ionian fractional electrum coins of the late 7th to mid-6th century BC.
