Reverse description A Macedonian helmet of Boeotian type shown in three-quarter view, centrally positioned within a wreath of oak or laurel leaves. To the left of the helmet the Greek letter Beta (Β) and to the right the letter Alpha (Α) flank the device, together forming the abbreviation ΒΑ for ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ (King). A dotted border frames the entire design, consistent with the standard reverse type for Alexander III bronze issues attributed to Price 405.
