| Reverse description | The crowned Danish coat of arms is displayed at centre within a pearled inner circle, featuring the three lions passant and hearts of Denmark quartered with other heraldic devices of the realm. A Latin legend naming the king encircles the shield between the pearled border and the outer rim. The die work is characteristic of the Frederiksborg mint's hammered production, with the shield rendered in a bold, slightly irregular style typical of the period. The overall fabric of the flan is irregular and slightly oval, consistent with hand-struck coinage of early seventeenth-century Denmark. |
