Obverse description Bare-headed, bearded effigy of King Carl XV facing right, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and beard detail. The truncation of the neck is unadorned. A continuous beaded border frames the design. The royal legend is inscribed around the periphery in two registers, with a small five-pointed star serving as separator between the dynastic title and the legal motto.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the Norwegian crowned lion rampant, flanked by two sprigs forming a wreath, with the denomination numerals placed on either side of the shield. The date is divided by a pair of crossed hammers below the shield, a traditional mining symbol referencing the Kongsberg Mint. A beaded border encircles the entire reverse design.
