| Additional information |
A modern restrike or fantasy issue — Portuguese India ceased to exist as an administrative entity in December 1961, when Indian military forces annexed Goa, Daman, and Diu. No Portuguese Indian coinage was produced after that date, making a 2021-dated piece with this attribution either a commemorative struck by Portugal's Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda or a privately issued token with no historical minting authority behind it.
