The shield is rendered in a simple, boldly struck style typical of early seventeenth-century German hammered coinage. A circular legend reading NVMMVS. RAVENSPVRG(ENSI). surrounds the central device, separated from the field by a beaded or rope inner border. The overall design is characteristic of the small copper Kipper- und Wipperzeit coinage of the Holy Roman Empire. |

The central design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, which is itself surrounded by an ornamental border of repeated floral or trefoil motifs arranged around the full circumference. The bold, open lettering of the numeral occupies the majority of the flan, consistent with the Kipper coinage style of the early 1620s. |
