Obverse description Laureate and helmeted bust of King Frederik V facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair flowing beneath the plumed helmet adorned with a laurel wreath. The king's effigy is depicted in classical Roman military style, with armor visible at the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by pellets, reads FRIDERICVS V D G DAN NOR V G REX, attributing the royal title by Divine Grace over Denmark, Norway, the Wends and the Goths. The mintmaster's initial W appears in the lower right field. The coin's rim is bounded by an inner circle of beading.
