The surrounding legend reads CHRIST·FRID·U·IOST·CHRISTI·GEB·GR·ZU·ST·K·R·W·U·H, abbreviating the names and titles of the two co-rulers, Christoph Friedrich and Jost Christian, Counts of Stolberg. Small rosette or floral ornaments separate elements of the legend. The entire design reflects the utilitarian typographic style typical of early eighteenth-century German mining coinage, with no figural imagery on this face. The coin's silver purity is explicitly declared by the FEIN SILB. (fine silver) notation in the central inscription. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The central field depicts the heraldic stag of Stolberg standing to the left atop a pedestal or plinth, with the distinctive tall antlered crown surmounting a sceptre or pole rising behind it — the traditional arms of the County of Stolberg. The stag is rendered in fine relief against a smooth field, with naturalistic detail in the antlers and musculature. A beaded inner circle separates this central device from the surrounding legend, which reads GOTT SEEGNE UND ERHALTE UNSERE BERGWERCKE. (God bless and preserve our mines), a pious invocation referencing the Ausbeute (mining profit) character of the issue. The reverse legend is separated at top by a small orb finial, and the entire composition conveys the importance of silver mining to the economy of the county. |
