Reverse description The reverse depicts the traditional wildman (Wilder Mann) of Brunswick standing full-length in the center of the field, a naked, leaf-girt figure with a crown of foliage upon his head, his left hand resting on his hip and his right hand grasping a tall uprooted pine tree used as a staff. The numeral 12 appears to the left of the figure in the field, and the mint mark C is placed below in the exergue. The circular Latin legend naming the duke's title runs along the rim.
