Obverse description Crude imitation of an Athenian tetradrachm obverse, depicting the helmeted head of Athena facing right in archaic style. The execution is rough and provincial, with the goddess rendered in low relief with summary facial features typical of local Judaean workshop production. The helmet is visible above the head, and the overall design is a debased copy of the contemporary Athenian prototype.
