| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing left, rendered in fine Syracusan style. The goddess wears a crested Corinthian helmet whose bowl is adorned with a coiled serpent, along with a single-pendant earring, a beaded necklace, and an aegis visible at the shoulder. The facial features are finely modelled, reflecting the high artistic standards of the Fifth Democracy coinage. No legend appears on the obverse. |
