正面描述 Quartered coat of arms of Hanau-Lichtenberg, surmounted by an ornate crown, displayed within a beaded inner circle. The shield is divided into four quarters bearing the heraldic charges of the county, including a lion and geometric devices. The Latin legend surrounding the arms reads the ruler's name and title, with the date split across the field. The overall design is characteristic of late 17th-century German territorial coinage.

附加信息

Frederick Casimir ruled Hanau-Lichtenberg from 1641 until his death in 1685, presiding over a county still recovering from the devastation of the Thirty Years' War. The 12 Kreuzer denomination was a workhorse of the fragmented German monetary system in this period, circulating across jurisdictions that rarely agreed on standards. Hanau-Lichtenberg's issues were struck at Wolfisheim, a mint whose output was modest enough that two-year runs like this one account for the bulk of surviving material attributable to Frederick Casimir's coinage.
