| Obverse description | Central field depicts a rampant lion facing right, rendered in relief within a beaded inner circle. The lion, characteristic of the Brunswick heraldic tradition, stands on its hind legs with forelegs raised and tail curling upward. The surrounding legend reads ALLES STEHT BEI GLVCK V. ZEIT (All depends on fortune and time), a well-known Kipper-era motto, separated by pellet stops. The overall style is consistent with the crude, hastily produced hammered coinage of the Kipper und Wipper period. |
