背面描述 The rampant Bohemian lion, depicted in heraldic style with double tail, occupies the central field facing left with forepaws raised. The denomination numeral 12 appears in the lower portion of the field beneath the lion. The surrounding circular legend reads IN:DEO FORTITVDO, meaning 'In God is our strength', enclosed within a beaded border. The overall design reflects the emergency coinage style of the Bohemian Estates period.

附加信息

The Czech Estates coinage of 1619 was emergency money in the most literal political sense. Following the Defenestration of Prague in May 1618, the Bohemian Estates effectively seized control of the kingdom's mints and began issuing coinage in their own name, rejecting Habsburg monetary authority entirely. Kuttenberg — Kutná Hora — was one of the most productive silver-mining centers in central Europe, and its mint was immediately pressed into service for the rebellion.

Frederick V of the Palatinate would be crowned king that November, but the Estates' coinage predates even that. It lasted barely two years before White Mountain ended everything.
