| Description de l’avers | Central field displays the crowned two-fold arms of Baden-Durlach, consisting of a divided shield bearing the diagonal bend of Baden on the dexter side and the lion of Durlach on the sinister, surmounted by a princely crown with elaborate foliate mantling below. An order chain is suspended beneath the shield. Mint initials B·C appear in the lower field flanking the base of the arms. The circular legend reads CAR.FRID.D.G.MARCH.BAD.&.H, abbreviating the titles of Margrave Charles Frederick, by the Grace of God Margrave of Baden and Hochberg. |

| Description du revers | Central cartouche of baroque foliate design contains a three-line denomination inscription reading XII / KREUZ / 1747, the date placed on the lowest line within the cartouche. Ornate scrollwork and floral devices adorn the top and bottom of the cartouche frame. The surrounding circular legend, divided by the cartouche, reads BAAD.DURL · LAND·MVNZ, identifying this as the territorial coinage of Baden-Durlach. The reeded edge and overall style are consistent with mid-eighteenth-century South German milled silver coinage. |
