Obverse description Central quartered coat of arms of Baden-Durlach, displaying the diagonal bend of Baden and the arms of Hochberg, surmounted by an ornate crowned helmet with mantling extending to both sides. A rampant lion appears as a crest above the shield, and the whole achievement is surrounded by a decorative baroque cartouche. The mint initials C·B·C appear in the lower field beneath the shield, with a beaded border encircling the design.
