Reverse description Central field displays the quartered arms of Freiburg im Breisgau — a cross with four quadrants — set within an ornate baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork, all contained within an inner circle. The surrounding circular Latin legend DOMINE.CONSER.NOS.IN.PACE (Lord, preserve us in peace) runs along the outer rim, separated by small cross or pellet stops. The hammered flan exhibits a plain edge and characteristic irregular surfaces typical of early seventeenth-century municipal coinage.
