| Obverse description | Mantled oval quartered shield of arms surmounted by an abbatial mitre, the escutcheon displaying the arms of the Abbey of Saint Gall with supporters draped to either side. The denomination numeral '12' appears in the lower field, flanked by the divided date '17' to the left and '73' to the right, all within a milled border. The composition of the arms includes a lion rampant and other heraldic charges typical of the Saint Gall abbatial tradition. |
