| 表面の説明 | Flat-handled spade money (bu) of the square-shouldered, square-footed type, cast in bronze with a characteristic trapezoidal neck surmounting a broad rectangular blade that terminates in two squared feet separated by an arched opening. A prominent central vertical rib runs the full length of the blade, flanked on either side by the two-character inscription 平貝 (Ping Bei) rendered in archaic Zhou-period Chinese script. The surfaces display a rich patina of malachite green consistent with prolonged burial. The overall casting is typical of the late Warring States production of the Zhao state. |
