Obverse description Flat-shoulder spade money (bu) form with a hollow socket handle at the top, divided by a raised central vertical rib running the full length of the blade into the two leg feet. Two archaic Chinese seal-script characters, reading 'An Yang' (安陽), are cast in relief within the field, one character to each side of the central rib. The broad rectangular blade tapers slightly toward the squared shoulder, with two short splayed feet separated by a central notch at the base, all surfaces covered in natural green patina consistent with ancient burial.
