| Obverse description | Laureate bust of King Carol II facing right, depicted in a heroic, semi-draped composition with the king grasping a sceptre across his torso. To his right, a large royal crown rests prominently in the field, evoking his coronation. The lower field features a wheat sheaf motif in the exergue, with the commemorative inscription '8 IUNIE 1930 8 IUNIE 1940' incused across two lines at the bottom, marking the tenth anniversary of his accession to the Romanian throne. The portrait is rendered in high relief with strong neoclassical artistic influence. |
