Beschrijving voorzijde Central design depicting the upper tiers of the Leaning Tower of Pisa rendered in fine relief, showcasing the structure's characteristic arcaded galleries and Romanesque architectural detailing. The tower occupies the central field of the coin, with its characteristic inclination clearly rendered. The circular legend reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' along the left arc and '12 Dollars' along the right arc, with '1/1000 oz', '2026', and 'AU.9999' completing the inscription around the upper portion of the coin. All lettering is in Latin script. The design has a prooflike finish with a mirrored field contrasting with the frosted relief elements.

Aanvullende informatie

Liberia has issued commemorative coinage under licensing arrangements since the 1970s, with virtually none of it intended for domestic circulation. This piece, like most of the country's modern commemorative output, was produced for the international collector market by a contracted European mint. The 0.031g gold weight places it in the category of fractional "mini-gold" issues that proliferated after spot prices made traditional fractional denominations commercially unviable for low-cost gift-market pieces.
