Beschrijving keerzijde Central design features the Eye of Providence — an all-seeing eye enclosed within an equilateral triangle rendered as a stepped masonry pyramid — set against a field of radiating glory rays emanating outward toward the coin's rim. The pyramid is composed of horizontal courses of dressed stonework, and the eye is depicted in fine detail with iris and pupil clearly defined. The radiating rays extend symmetrically to fill the surrounding field, creating a striking sunburst effect. No legend or inscription appears on this face.

Aanvullende informatie

Liberia has used its ISO-recognized sovereign mint authority to license novelty bullion issues to private distributors since the 1990s, and this piece sits squarely in that tradition — legal tender in name, collectible product in practice. At 0.031 g fine gold, the metal content is negligible; the face value of twelve dollars bears no relationship to any Liberian monetary policy or economic reality.

The denomination exists because it does not conflict with Liberian banknote series currently in circulation, which top out at one hundred dollars.
