| Reverse description | A highly detailed, three-dimensional sculpted crab occupies the centre of the coin, its carapace elaborately engraved with ornate scrollwork and foliate motifs in antiqued silver, while the claws and legs are rendered with a warm golden-brown colorisation. The field surrounding the crab is deeply domed and decorated with an intricate symmetrical mandala-like pattern of stylised floral and botanical engravings. At the base of the design, within a cartouche formed by scrolling foliage, the astrological glyph for Cancer (♋) is prominently displayed. A fine beaded inner border separates the decorative field from the plain raised rim. The composition evokes an Art Nouveau aesthetic combined with high-relief minting techniques. |
