Cao Cao, the warlord-chancellor who effectively controlled the Han court from 196 AD until his death in 220, was posthumously declared Emperor Wu of Wei by his son Cao Pi — who then formally ended the Han dynasty that same year. Liberia has issued a long-running series of micro-gold pieces denominated in dollars and themed around historical figures, this being among the smallest by weight in that program.
