Obverse description Panther depicted in dynamic springing pose to the left, rendered in relief with musculature visible across the body. The feline predator is shown with forelegs extended mid-leap, tail raised. The design occupies the central field of the flan against a plain, slightly rough background typical of Thracian Chersonese bronze coinage of the period.

Reverse description A single barley grain depicted in profile at the centre of the field, enclosed within a linear square border forming a recessed incuse frame. The Greek ethnic legend ΚΑΡ is inscribed above the grain along the upper register of the square, and ΔΙΑ appears below in the lower register, together reading ΚΑΡΔΙΑ, the city ethnic of Kardia. The geometric compartmentalisation of the design is characteristic of Chersonesean civic bronze issues.
