| 正面描述 | Forepart of a bull charging to the right, rendered in relief against a plain field. The animal's musculature and horns are depicted with characteristic Karian artistic conventions of the late Classical period. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered bronze coinage of this region and era. |

Kaunos occupied an awkward political position throughout the fourth century — geographically Karian, culturally Lycian-leaning, and perpetually subject to whoever held naval dominance in the eastern Aegean. The city passed through Hecatomnid, Persian, and eventually Macedonian spheres of control within a single generation, and this small bronze issue likely circulated during precisely that turbulent transition period.
The city's coinage is relatively well-documented across the major reference collections, which suggests reasonably consistent local production rather than emergency or irregular issue.
