背面描述	Forepart of a goat striding to the right, its beard and curved horns clearly delineated in raised relief, serving as the civic badge of Aegae — the city's name being a punning allusion to the Greek word for goat (aix). The Greek ethnic legend AIΓAE is inscribed above the animal in neat capital letters, filling the upper field. The overall composition is compact and well-centred within the irregular flan, consistent with the local bronze coinage of Aeolian Aegae during the Hellenistic period.
