| 背面描述 | A winged figure, most likely Eros or Nike, seated in three-quarter view facing left, with large spread wings prominently displayed behind the body. The nude or semi-draped figure is rendered in the dynamic, graceful style typical of late Classical Sicilian coinage. The design is set within a dotted border, with the ethnic legend of the issuing city distributed around or associated with the type. The flan is irregular and slightly broad for the type, consistent with hammered production of the period. |

Morgantina's silver fractions of this period fall within the city's most turbulent decades — the site changed hands between Sicilian Greeks and Campanians multiple times before Timoleon's reorganization of Sicily following his campaign against Carthage in 339 BC stabilized much of the interior. Whether struck under Greek civic authority or during one of the Campanian occupations remains debated, and the SNG ANS attribution reflects that ambiguity without resolving it.
