Reverse description A geometric floral or star pattern struck in incuse within a recessed square punch, typical of early Archaic Ionian coinage. The design consists of a central raised boss or pellet surrounded by eight radiating petals or rays, alternating with triangular recessed compartments in the four corners of the square. The entire motif is deeply sunk into the flan, forming a bold incuse impression characteristic of the Milesian mint's early production. The field outside the square is plain and irregular.
