附加信息	Barke — modern Al-Marj in Libya — was one of the six cities of the Cyrenaica, founded as a Cyrenaean colony around 560 BC. It maintained enough political independence to strike its own coinage, a distinction not all dependent cities achieved. The mint was extinguished when Alexander the Great's campaigns absorbed the region in 331 BC, making the entire issue span a hard terminus. At 0.43 g, this twelfth-stater denomination served trade at the smallest divisional unit the Cyrenaican gold series offered.
