| Beschrijving voorzijde | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian-style helmet with prominent crest. The facial features are rendered in the archaic Greek style typical of Thracian civic coinage of the early 4th century BC. The helmet bowl and cheekpieces are visible, with the hair falling in loose locks beneath the rim. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-center, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period. |

Oisyme was a Thasian colonial foundation on the Thracian mainland coast, and its independent coinage is rare enough that individual specimens are frequently cited in die studies. The city lost autonomy to Thasos itself sometime in the fourth century, which places a hard ceiling on how long this series could have been struck.
